Omicron Psi is a haven to support and uplift the population that call Earth home. In our love for all, our sisterhood focuses on its' member's foundation as well as it's highlight on mental health. Through workshops, classes, events and fundraising, Omicron Psi gives back with a full heart.
In an online world, it is intimidating to let go and be vulnerable with one another - behind a cluster of pixels. Our sisterhood helps to break down the barrier, not for just it's own Vixens, but for the IMVU community as a whole. A main objective for Omicron Psi is to create an online safe haven for members needing assistance, shelter, nurturing or a shoulder to lean on.
The importance of community support is vital for outbound causes and our members excel at removing barriers and providing care. In addition to our community objectives, we serve each and every member with the tools that they need to grow on both IMVU and real life. At the very core, we work in inter-personal counseling and goal-setting to better understand the complete skulk. A few ways that the Vixen Foundation benefits it's members:
In May 2021, Omicron Psi's acting officers decided unanimously to choose and uphold a specific organization in which to raise funds and awareness for in the IMVU community: NAMI
NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a U.S. based organization that advocates for the access to culturally competent, quality mental healthcare and support. Gracefully aligning with our sisterhood's objectives and focus, Omicron Psi is pledging it's organizational support in both financial contribution and awareness campaign.
Starting in July 2021, Omicron Psi's members will work together to raise a goal of $100 to donate to NAMI, with intent to increase the goal every two months. In addition, starting in July our members will attend and participate in NAMICon (July 27-28) to educate, advocate and build a stronger arsenals to raise awareness in our online community.
Though our journey has just begun in organizational support, we look forward to working with our community to make a collective impact.
